Weekend away

Hello again everyone,
I have been out of town since Friday, but have still made some progress on preparations for the trip. My main task for the past couple days has been getting the Powerpoint rebuilt. Currently I have made some 370 slides and am half way done. I never knew this took so much typing. I have also realized that we have changed the songs significantly from the original versions. We say that we add a Hope Overflow twist.
I have also been doing my homework on Hesed house. Each person in the group has been assigned one of our destinations to research and report back to the group. Kevin and I have Hesed house. Since I will be missing rehearsal tomorrow, I will give you all a brief synopsis of what I found. Hesed House is like a shopping mall for families or individuals in need in the Aurora area. They serve hot meals, contain a food band, and provide temporary housing. What really makes Hesed House unique is that they don't stop there. They provide legal counsel to those who need it. They have medical personnel available to families and they even provide after school programs. A short visit to their website shows that they rely heavily on volunteers; more than 5000 to be precise. Our group will be but a miniscule amount of what it takes to run a facility of this magnitude.
Well that is it for now. On Tuesday, we will setup the sound equipment for the last time before our departure. Then I have a few days to service some of the equipment and get things ready.
TTFN,
-Hans
